Statuses and Archiving

Understand active, inactive, archived, locked, and restored audit structure.

Last updated June 24, 2026

Active items are available for setup work and audit activity. Inactive items remain visible, but are treated as view-only when they are outside the current plan limit or otherwise unavailable for active work. Archived items are intentionally retired from active setup without deleting historical audit records.

Archiving a location archives the areas and zones under it. Archiving an area archives its zones. Each archive action uses a confirmation modal with an optional archive note, so the reason can be preserved with the record.

Archived locations, areas, and zones can be viewed from the status filters on the Setup Location page. Mark Active opens a confirmation modal before restoring the item. When restoring a location, the modal can also reactivate all areas and zones inside it. When restoring an area, the modal can also reactivate its zones.

If an archived structure is linked from an old audit URL or QR code, the public audit page shows a Done With Synergy unavailable message instead of a generic 404 page. This lets auditors know the link is no longer part of the active audit setup.
