Sharing Files
Make files public, copy share links, and return files to private visibility.
Storage files are private by default. A private file can only be viewed through authenticated Storage routes by the user who owns the file.
When a file is made public, Storage creates a public token and exposes a share link. Anyone with the public link can view the file while visibility remains public.
Making the file private disables public access through the share link. The token may remain stored on the file record, but the public route only serves files whose visibility is currently public.
Public sharing depends on the Storage visibility database columns being available. If those columns have not been migrated yet, public/private actions will report that visibility is not available.
